Harvard Studies Proves The Afterlife Exists

Harvard trained brain neurosurgeon of 25 years, Dr. Eben Alexander, encountered an unfortunate incident which sent him into a coma for 7 days. Fortunately, he woke up but brought along a narrative of his experience while he was under a coma and he claims that the afterlife truly exists.

Read on to know more on what he found out about the afterlife and how he defended his surreal claim to the public. This is one compelling read that’s sure to make you a believer.

Dr. Alexander changed his mind after he was in a coma for seven days caused by severe bacterial meningitis. During his coma he experienced a vivid journey into what he knew to be the afterlife, visiting both heavenly and not so heavenly realms.

After returning to his body and experiencing a miraculous healing against all odds, and went on to write the NY Times #1 best selling book “Proof of Heaven.” What Dr. Alexander confirms is that our life here is just a test help our souls evolve and grow, and that the way we succeed in doing so is to proceed with love and compassion. Here are just a few other notable points he made:

– The experience of the afterlife was so “real” and expansive that the experience of living as a human on Earth seemed like an artificial dream by comparison

– The fabric of the afterlife was pure LOVE. Love dominated the afterlife to such a huge degree that the overall presence of evil was infinitesimally small. If you wish to know the Universe, know Love.

– In the afterlife, all communication was telepathic. There was no need for spoken words, nor even any separation between the self and everything else happening around you. All the questions you asked in your mind were immediately answered to you telepathically as well.

When asked what he wants everyone to know about the spiritual realm, he always answers saying that you are precious and infinitely loved more than you can possibly imagine. You are always safe. You are never alone. The unconditional and perfect Love of God neglects not one soul.

“Love is, without a doubt, the basis of everything. Not some abstract, hard-to-fathom kind of love but the day-to-day kind that everyone knows-the kind of love we feel when we look at our spouse and our children, or even our animals. In its purest and most powerful form, this love is not jealous or selfish, but unconditional.

This is the reality of realities, the incomprehensibly glorious truth of truths that lives and breathes at the core of everything that exists or will ever exist, and no remotely accurate understanding of who and what we are can be achieved by anyone who does not know it, and embody it in all of their actions.”

Now let’s talk credibility for a minute. What makes this experience so much more significant than another NDE account? Eben’s neocortex was completely nonfunctional during the time of his coma do to his severe bacterial meningitis, so there is no scientific account for why he experienced this. In fact, he gives refutations to 9 different possible scientific explanations for his experience in his book.

Exploring Naturalistic Explanations

Let’s take a look at 5 potential explanations he outlines in Appendix B of “Proof of Heaven”. Some are of his explanations would make no sense to us as laymen untrained in neuroscientific terminology, so here are the most common explanations he refutes, all of which are taken verbatim from his book:

1. A primitive brainstem program to ease terminal pain and suffering (“evolutionary argument” – possibly as a remnant of feigned-death strategies from lower mammals?). This did not explain the robust, richly interactive nature of the recollections.

2. The distorted recall of memories from deeper parts of the limbic system (for example, the lateral amygdala) that have enough overlying brain to be relatively protected from the meningitic inflammation, which occurs mainly at the brain’s surface. This did not explain the robust, richly interactive nature of the recollections.

3. DMT dump. DMT, a naturally occurring serotonin agonist causes vivid hallucinations and a dream-like state. I am personally familiar with drug experiences related to serotonin agonist/antagonists (LSD) from my teen years in the early 70s. I have had no personal experience with DMT but have seen patients under its influence. The rich ultra-reality would still require fairly intact auditory and visual neocortex as target regions in which to generate such a rich audiovisual experience as I had in a coma. Prolonged coma due to bacterial meningitis had badly damaged my neocortex, which is where all of the serotonin from the raphe nuclei in my brainstem (or DMT, a serotonin agonist) would have had effects on visual/auditory experiences. But my cortex was off, and the DMT would have no place in the brain to act.
4. A reboot phenomenon – a random dump of bizarre dis-jointed memories due to old memories in the damaged neocortex, which might occur on restarting the cortex into consciousness after a prolonged system-wide failure, as in my diffuse meningitis. Especially given the intricacies of my elaborate recollections, this seems most unlikely.

5. Unusual memory generation through an archaic visual pathway through the midbrain, prominently used in birds but only rarely identifiable in humans. It can be demonstrated in humans who are cortically blind, due to occipital cortex. It provided no clue as to the ultra-reality I witnessed and failed to explain the auditory-visual interleaving.

His NDE account stands as the most credible account of all time, and coming from his materialistic scientific background, we have good reason to believe that he really did have a vivid encounter with something beyond this world.

Here is an interview/feature he did with ABC News about his condition and his experience:

5 Things That Happen When You Die

Putting Life And Death In Perspective

As an evidential medium, I bridge the gap between the physical and the Spirit world, bringing through detailed messages that prove that life goes on – even after death. A wonderful by-product of my work is the way it puts life and death in perspective, erasing the fear of “what comes next” and illuminating our true path.

What happens when you die?

When the Spirit is released from the heaviness of the physical shell we call the body, it’s similar to a driver getting out of a broken down car, or even taking off a heavy overcoat and letting it fall to the ground. There is no pain at all associated with exiting the shell. So what DOES death feel like?

For more info see my book, Adventures For Your Soul

Hundreds of thousands of spirits have come back to say they UNIVERSALLY go through the following steps:

1. AWAKENING - The person suddenly experiences an overwhelming sense of PEACE, HAPPINESS and LOVE.

2. REUNION - No one ever dies alone. Your relatives and loved ones who you have created bonds of love with over your lifetimes will come and greet you. They have prepared for your homecoming - so you can just imagine the incredible sense of joy when you return home.

3. VISITING YOUR MEMORIAL SERVICE, OR FUNERAL - Every soul will be present for their service or funeral. Even if there is no formal ceremony, they will be there - surrounding their family for at least several days after the transition and trying to impress on them that they are ALIVE and feeling healthy and whole.

4. LIFE REVIEW - Upon returning to the spiritual home, each one of us will go through a review - seeing, feeling and living every single experience we lived out on the earth school. We will “relive” every thought, action and word we created about one another and ourselves. If we treated someone unkindly, we will experience it from their point of view.

5. LIVING THEIR JOY - Each soul will get to access what they desire to experience creatively. If they had always wanted to play the piano but were not able to on earth, they will be able to learn and live this expression in heaven. They will be able to have whatever their hearts desire....if someone wanted to have children on earth but were unable to, in the Spirit realms they may find that they are surrogate parents to children in the spirit world who need guidance and wisdom from certain souls.

It’s not surprising that after over 30 years spent talking to dead people, I have become quite an expert on the subject! The more I learn about death, the more I understand that the end of life is an illusion, a transition where the soul – which never dies – leaves its earthly body for its next “assignment.”

Unknown ‘Alien’ rays from outer space hitting Earth

While previously, researchers were not sure as to what was producing these unknown cosmic rays, a group of scientists believe they finally found out the culprit behind them.

“These results represent the first indications of where the Milky Way’s highest energy cosmic rays could come from,” says Associate Professor Gavin Rowell, from the University of Adelaide’s High Energy Astrophysics Group and leader of Australia’s participation in the HESS Collaboration.

“The most plausible ‘engine’ for this cosmic ray acceleration is the super-massive black hole right at the heart of our galaxy.”

According to a group of researchers, a number of ‘alien’ rays from outer space are hitting our planet. The group of researchers believes that the enigmatic rays are coming from a super-massive black hole which is located at the center of our galaxy. The supermassive black hole is believed to have the size of 4-5 million suns according to reports from German and Australian scientists.

The supermassive black hole is believed to be so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape is crushing clutch.

“The black hole’s gravity of course attracts lots of matter to it,” said Adelaide University astrophysicist Dr Gavin Rowell. “As the matter approaches the black hole, it spirals around, like water going down a plughole, and speeds up.”

According to reports recently published in the Journal Nature, the high energy cosmic rays which are comprised of charged atomic nuclei like protons, are accelerating from the center of the milky way towards us. While in the past, researchers were not sure where these enigmatic rays originated from, a new study has shown that Sagittarius A*, as the black hole has been called, is the sole responsible body, and not the remnants of dead stars as researchers speculated in previous theories.

The group of researchers believes that the enigmatic rays are coming from a super-massive black hole which is located at the center of our galaxy

Scientists believe that as it speeds up, matter becomes very energetic and hot which creates the ideal conditions to release and accelerate charged particles or cosmic rays.

“This is quite a theoretical area of physics but is generally well accepted as a very powerful process to accelerate particles,” Dr Rowell said. Other examples of this are sometimes observed near smaller black holes orbited by single stars.

“Cosmic rays account for up to half of the natural ionising radiation we experience in our lives,” said Dr Rowell, whose team observed coming from the Milky Way’s centre a series of gamma rays, a penetrating form of radiation and a “tracer” of cosmic rays.

“Based on the gamma rays, we found that the cosmic rays are packed with the highest energy that our galaxy is thought to produce,” he said.

“The most striking aspect is that the gamma ray emission properties tell us that they come from a source of cosmic rays with energies reaching 100 times higher than that of the Large Hadron Collider in CERN, Switzerland,” added Rowell.

Impossible cosmic event: NASA telescope captures moment massive object ejects out of Black Hole

In what was considered as a nearly ‘impossible cosmic event’, a NASA telescope captured the moment a massive object ejected itself out of a supermassive Black Hole.

According to Fiona Harrison, the lead investigator at the NuSTAR telescope, this type of cosmic event is unheard of and redefines in every way, everything that we thought we knew about Black Holes and their characteristics. Luckily for us, our telescopes were pointed at the Black Hole at the right time, which made it possible for us to observe the rare cosmic event. The data from the observation should provide much-needed information to how black holes function.

“This is the first time we have been able to link the launching of the corona to a flare. “This will help us understand how supermassive black holes power some of the brightest objects in the universe.” –Dan Wilkins, Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada.

‘This is the first time we have been able to link the launching of the corona to a flare,’ said Dan Wilkins of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada.

‘This will help us understand how supermassive black holes power some of the brightest objects in the universe.’

Astronomers say it is the first time that where it is possible to relate the ejection of the crown with a flare. This helps explain how black holes give energy to some of the brightest objects in the universe.

Astronomer’s stat that the mysterious emission was caused by ejection of its corona, which is a source of energetic particles.

Astronomers believe that this supermassive black hole, found at the center of our galaxy was once one of the brightest X-ray sources in the galaxy. Mysteriously, something very strange happened 8 years ago when MRL 335 faded by a factor of 30 said Luigi Gallo an astronomer and investigator of the project.

Every Scientific Law We have Today Will Be Rewritten in the Next 50 Years

There is a simple reason why science has a very naive understanding of ourselves and our universe.

It can only discover correlations, not causation. It does not have a concept of quantum measurements. It has no tools to measure quantum fields.

Since everything in the universe happens at a quantum level, science as we know it is only able to breach concepts originating from how relationships function at a rudimentary level, but not why those relationships exist.

Science and its conclusions are one-dimensional and there lies its greatest limitation and ignorance, and thus it will never supersede what humans already know about themselves.

Science is so far behind simple empirical observation, so far behind the actual functioning of the human body, so far behind anything remotely relating to the understanding of ourselves and our universe because it can't assess the subatomic forces that guide all matter.

Science can't even measure a quantum field or the functioning of more than 90% of our DNA and yet we expect it to be able to determine what a cure is? It is not conceptual so it can't.

Quantum theory is generally regarded as one of the most successful scientific theories ever formulated, but the majority of scientists fail to embrace many of the concepts and realize that there is no other reality except the one produced by quantum consciousness.

Quantum physics informs us that a system exists in superposition - that is, in all possible states - until we observe that it is only in one specific state.

One of the most beautiful experiments in physics is one that elegantly demonstrated how observation affects quantum systems:

The double slit experiment.

The double slit sets aside causality, determinism, and the notion that reality is "out there" as it blurs the line between the observer and the system being observed.

In the double slit experiment, researchers found that light and matter can display characteristics of both classically defined waves and particles; moreover, it displays the fundamentally probabilistic nature of quantum mechanical phenomena.

One of the problems with scientific query is that it more often than not dismisses everything that does not fall into its little box of logic.

We can't prove it if we can't test it! So when science doesn't understand something, or encounters the unknown, it places it in the same box to try and interpret its meaning.

The problem is, what science doesn't know or appreciate (with current technology) is that the most defining concepts in the universe don't fit into a logical box of linearity. They can't. They're quantum. They're multi-dimensional as is the planet and everything in it.

What studies have failed to address on the planet is causation based on this quantum level.

They have tried through many different methods to obtain conclusive results in their scientific research through a countless number of double blind, placebo controlled and random studies which are considered the highest standards for scientific experiment.

Still today, there has never been one published scientific study based on this standard that has identified causation beyond sub-atomic levels. Yet it is precisely those levels that cause everything to manifest in the physical body and our environment as it does.

Science can only derive correlations because it does not address energetic causation which is the underlying mechanism behind every single experience and event whether physical or non-physical.

100% of our health, disease and all experience is based on energetic components within our field. There is NO other cause of disease.

Diseases are primarily third dimensional experiences and will cease to exist when we learn to maintain vibrational levels at higher frequencies, and we are.

We separate chemistry, physics and so many other sciences when they are all integrated in ways even quantum scientists cannot fathom. Absolutely everything is connected and can thus be manipulated at the quantum level.

Scientists will rewrite all of their laws in the next 50 years once they obtain tools than can measure quantum energy. They will learn that consciousness, emotional states, love, compassion, hatred, fear are all measurable.

Can you imagine the day when we can measure the emotional states of entire regions?

Human DNA is multi-dimensional at that the so-called "junk DNA" has a very specific function that connects us with everything that is.

Does that mean you can control matter?

Control gravity?

Control the laws of physics as we know them?

Yes, to all of them...

They will discover that sacred geometry creates all levels of consciousness, the divine nature of human beings and of course the physical world. Does it not amaze you that humans can only define things in straight lines?

Everything is from the linear perspective. But all things in this universe can bend. They don't go straight. It seems the human brain has a difficult time grasping this concept and hence the limitation of sciences on planet Earth.

What about math? Do you think math in a multi-dimensional quantum field is the same as in a linear one?

Quantum math is not influenced by empirical values but by the numbers around them. A five is not a five, but is modified and influenced by the four, six and all the numbers around it. This means that the formula for a circle will no longer be Pi in quantum math. It will be a whole number.

Atomic densities and matter will no longer be seen as static. It will be possible to alter the mass of any object that exists. What people today call anti-gravity will simply be an object without mass. It will float and scientists will wonder why they never thought of it sooner.

Just as our bodies are expressions of our consciousness in a physical form, the physical geometric forms are representations of the original geometry of light that exists beyond the physical level.

On this original level beyond the physical, geometric forms fluidly transition into each other, representing how our consciousness continuously transcends and moves into higher and higher states of evolution.

The key element that ties the geometry together is that of the spiral, creating a tree of transcendent geometries that represent our true infinite nature and creating endless templates along the way.

These templates of creation manifest on the physical level in many forms.

The physical manifestations are an archetypal expression of the energy fields beyond the physical. Sacred geometry in nature is then a tangible expression of the archetypal matrix of creation that acts as the building blocks of reality.

This will be a big one for scientists as many will learn in the coming few decades to factor energetic principles as causation before initiating any study. Physics and chemistry will be rewritten and scientists will gain a better understanding of the effect of energetic resonance and its effects on all things. This will revolutionize science and remove many obstacles that have hindered scientific inquiry from progressing.

The physics and the metaphysics will soon combine.

All will be understood in ways that were not possible for thousands of years and it will span across the globe.

There will be invention that benefit humanity to such an extent that they will transform the food we eat, the air we breathe, the transportation we use, but most of all how we interact as a species. Imagine that.

And all it took was the understanding of a quantum field. It's coming.

Scientists to announce the detection of gravitational waves

10 February 2016

The discovery could revolutionize physics and astronomy by providing researchers with a completely new way to observe the universe.

According to new reports, researchers are about to announce the detection of gravitational waves, or also referred to as ‘ripples in the fabric of spacetime’. This discovery could completely change everything we know about the universe, rewriting science books in the process.

Around one hundred years ago, Albert Einstein predicted the so-called ‘ripples in the fabric of spacetime’, even though they have never (until now apparently) been observed directly by researchers.

According to scientists at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) system – which was built in order to detect the smallest vibrations that passing gravitational waves can give off – a new update set to be announced this week could prove the existence of the never before seen gravitational waves.

“People are hugely excited. The rumor is that it’s a whopping big signal, in other words, it’s unambiguous, and that is fantastic,” said Pedro Ferreira, professor of astrophysics at Oxford University, and author of the 2014 book, The Perfect Theory: a century of geniuses and the battle over general relativity.

Finding ‘ripples in the fabric of spacetime’ would mean a completely new way of looking into the furthest and oldest spots in our universe. The mysterious waves are actually ‘expelled’ out of places like black holes from the beginning of the universe, and having the ability to study them could provide researchers with extremely valuable data about the early universe and its creation.

For weeks, rumors have been floating around the internet suggesting researchers might finally have detected gravitational waves, but no one was sure until now when researchers confirmed that they were to make an announcement in the next couple of days. This preannouncement has scientists all around the planet extremely excited since a discovery of this caliber is unprecedented.

The revolutionary discovery could help scientists observe parts of the universe that have remained in the ‘dark’, hidden from conventional telescopes that use visible light, radio waves and X-rays. However, not only might the discovery allow scientists to better explore the universe, it might also allow them to see black holes ‘directly’ for the first time, something that could help them unravel the mysteries surrounding dark matter, the invisible material that is believed to make up about 80 percent of the known universe.

“This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first publication of Albert Einstein’s prediction of the existence of gravitational waves,” the release notes. “With interest in this topic piqued by the centennial, the group will discuss their ongoing efforts to observe gravitational waves.”

The event believed to announce the detection of ‘ripples in the fabric of spacetime’ will be hosted on Thursday afternoon UK time, at the National Press Club in Washington DC.

Professor Hawking Proposes to Power Earth With Mini Black Holes

According to new comments by Professor Stephen Hawking, ‘Mini’ black holes could power the entire world’s electricity supply, but also destroy us in the process.

If this energy could be controlled, mini black holes could provide all the energy the world needs. One mini black hole is believed to emit 10 million megawatts, Stephen Hawking said in a lecture on BBC Radio 4. These comments and suggestions were made by Professor Stephen Hawking in his second Reith lecture. However, obtaining energy from ‘mini’ black holes isn’t the biggest enigma, finding them could prove to be a bigger problem, that is if it doesn’t actually destroy us in the process.

The theories proposed by Professor Stephen Hawking about Black holes are fascinating, and in his latest theory, Professor Hawking claims that so-called ‘mini’ black holes with the mass of a mounting could give off x-Rays and gamma rays at a staggering rate of around 10 million megawatts, enough power to supply the entire world’s electricity supply, ending the never ending demand/supply of energy, creating in turn, a much cleaner planet.

On the second Reith lecture on BBC Radio 4, Professor Hawking explained that in the presence of a black hole, a member of a pair of virtual particles could fall into the hole, leaving the other member without a partner ‘with which to annihilate’. According to Hawking, the ‘forsaken’ particle or antiparticle could enter the black hole after its partner, or escape where it would ‘reappear’ as radiation.

In previous statements, Professor Hawking found that a black hole can create and emit particles and radiation at a temperature which is relative to gravity on the surface while being inversely proportional to its mass. Hawking further added that a black hole with the mass of the sun could leak particles at such a slow rate that it would become nearly impossible to detect. However, Professor Hawking suggests that much smaller black holes, with the mass of a mountain, for example, could be detectable and usable.

‘A mountain-sized black hole would give off X-rays and gamma rays, at a rate of about 10 million megawatts, enough to power the world’s electricity supply,’ Professor Hawking said.

‘It wouldn’t be easy, however, to harness a mini black hole. You couldn’t keep it in a power station because it would drop through the floor and end up at the center of the Earth.
‘If we had such a black hole, about the only way to keep hold of it would be to have it in orbit around the Earth.’

According to Professor Hawking, scientists have searched for mini black holes of this mass for years, but to no avail, saying that: ‘This is a pity, because if they had I would have got a Nobel Prize.’

Professor Hawking proposes that it may be possible to create micro-black-holes in extra dimensions of space/time.

‘According to some theories, the universe we experience is just a four-dimensional surface in a ten or eleven-dimensional space,’ Professor Hawking explained.

‘We wouldn’t see these extra dimensions because light wouldn’t propagate through them but only through the four dimensions of our universe.’

‘Gravity, however, would affect the extra dimensions and would be much stronger than in our universe. This would make it much easier to form a little black hole in the extra dimensions.’

Interestingly, we could actually see if the theories proposed by Professor Hawking are correct at the Large Hadron Collider, at CERN in Switzerland. There, some of the collisions could create micro black holes which would then radiate particles in a pattern that would be easily recognizable by scientists.

‘So I might get a Nobel Prize after all,’ concluded Professor Hawking.

However, many others believe that CERN is playing with dangerous and unexplored territories in science if researchers lose control on their projects.

The full transcript is available from BBC Radio 4’s website.

ANCIENT ALIEN MYSTERY OF THE ARCHONS – Invaders from Space

Were ancient, Bronze Age civilizations taken over by sophisticated, parasitic extra-dimensional entities who manipulate the human mind to this day for their own evil purposes? Gnostic texts from the time of Christ may hold the key to the greatest conspiracy in ALL human history!

New Discoveries Suggest We Live In a Multiverse Teeming With Alien Life

From Mermaids to Sirens, to Gods, Goddesses, Demons and Djinn. For millennia, tales of other worlds and the creatures that live therein have fascinated the imaginations of some of this planets greatest thinkers going all the way back to ancient Greece and beyond to Babylon. These stories of other worlds have sparked interest in “that which cannot be seen” since civilization began and this idea that there is still much we do not know seems to be everlasting in the consciousness of human beings.

Now that science has advanced to such a degree and research has disproven many of these myths, most people have tossed away the notion that anything beyond the material realm that cannot currently be measured must automatically be dismissed.

However, recent findings by astrophysicist Ranga-Ram Chary have again sparked interest in “that which cannot be seen.”

While mapping the “cosmic microwave background,” or light left over from the early universe, Chary discovered mysterious bright spots which he believes may be matter from another universe “leaking” into ours. In a study recently published in the Astrophysics Journal, Chary writes, “Our universe may simply be a region within an eternally inflating super-region.” He also writes, “Many other regions beyond our observable universe would exist with each such region governed by a different set of physical parameters than the ones we have measured for our universe.”

The multiverse theory suggests that we are living in one universe of which there are many or even an infinite number of other universes existing independently or co-dependently, but which we cannot see or knowingly interact with. Chary believes that there is a 30% chance that these bright spots are nothing unusual, but that they, “[the bright spots] could also possibly be due to the collision of our Universe with an alternate Universe whose baryon to photon ratio is a factor of around 65 larger than ours.”

Although there is certainly evidence backing up the theory of a multiverse, not everyone is convinced by Chary’s findings. As the International Business Times reports: Theoretical astrophysicist David Spergel, from Princeton University, says he thinks it is worth looking into explanations that do not involve other universes. “The dust properties are more complicated than we have been assuming, and I think that this is a more plausible explanation.”

However, a document released by the FBI in July of 2015 titled “UFO” outlines some very odd points demonstrating that the government believes, or that they apparently once believed, a group of extraterrestrials lived and operated on earth. Suggesting that the government believes these beings are capable of inter-dimensional travel, the document seems to be from July 3rd1967, however, it is difficult to make out the date. Here are some points they made in their account, which you can find on page 22 of the document at vault.fbi.gov:

They do not come from any “planet” as we use the word, but from an etheric planet which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us.

These visitors are human-like but much larger in size.

They are not excarnate Earth people, but come from their own world.

The bodies of the visitors, and the craft also, automatically materialize on entering the vibratory rate of our dense matter.

The region they come from is NOT the astral plane, but corresponds to the Lakas or Talas. Students of esoteric matters will understand these terms.

They re-enter the etheric at will, and so simply disappear from our vision, without trace.

It is also notable that researcher and author David Icke gives a strikingly similar description of what he calls the “Archons”, as described by the Gnostics of about 150 A.D. Although he believes them not to be a “peaceful” bunch and connects them with much of what is happening in the world today.

How could the FBI have once believed this detailed account, but then somehow later figured it to be wrong and lost interest? Do the latest discoveries regarding the mulitverse theory also opent the door to the possibility that alien life forms are moving into and beyond our universe?

“We Are Not Alone” The Shamans Of The World Tell Us

November 15, 2015

To disregard the problems facing the Earth and to proceed with business as usual in education would be a betrayal of trust. Our students want to know how to make a difference. They need hope. And it won’t come if all we can offer is another scientific theory or technological fix. We must expand our vision to seek non-scientific alternatives. To make a difference, we must search for different understandings. Let us look to the wisdom of our ancestors. They believed that intelligence is not restricted to humans but is possessed by all creatures – plants as well as animals — and by the Earth itself.

They also believed in spirits. Human welfare was understood to depend on tapping into these wellsprings of wisdom, and all ancient societies (just like indigenous peoples today) had specialists skilled in communication with the natural world and with spirits. These people we now call shamans, and this article argues for the inclusion of shamanic practice in the educational curriculum. Shamanism gives working access to an alternative technique of acquiring knowledge. Although a pragmatic, time-tested system, it makes no claim to be science. Its strengths and limitations are different from those of the sciences and thus complement them. Being affective and subjective, shamanism offers another way of knowing.

Reason sets the boundaries far too narrowly for us, and would have us accept only the known – and that too with limitations – and live in a known framework, just as if we were sure how far life actually extends. . . . The more the critical reason dominates, the more impoverished life becomes. . . . Overvalued reason has this in common with political absolutism: under its dominion the individual is pauperised. – Carl Jung

Of course science will offer some valuable new directions, but at the same time we must expand our vision to seek non-scientific alternatives. To make a difference, we must search for different understandings. I am fortunate to live in a country, New Zealand, where many of my compatriots have an understanding of past and future that is fundamentally different from the prevailing ‘Western’ view. Most in our civilisation consider it self-evident that we stand facing the future with the past behind us, but traditionally for New Zealand Maori it is the future that is behind them.

They stand facing the past and their ancestors, who are a living presence in spirit. It is the vision of the ancestors that guides the present generation into the unseen future, with one clear and overriding purpose: to prosper the generations yet to be born.

Nga wa o mua “The days of the past to which we are coming.” — Maori proverb

Let us take our cue from Maori and consider the vision of our own ancestors. No matter what our ethnic background, we will discover that our ancestors (except some of the most recent) believed, like Maori, in the existence of spirits. They also stood in awe of the rich diversity of life forms, and they believed there is mutual interdependency between these forms, humans included, given that everything that exists is alive and conscious. They were of the opinion that intelligence is not restricted to humans but is possessed by all creatures – plants as well as animals — and, for that matter, by the Earth itself. Rock, soil, stream, ocean, wind, air, sky, the stars – all are imbued with consciousness.

Recognising that the Earth and many of its creatures vastly predate humanity and are therefore possessed of much older wisdom, our forebears honoured selected landforms, trees, plants, and animals as their ancestors. They understood that there is deep wisdom in the rhythms of the Earth and an infinite variety of life experience stored by our fellow creatures and by spirits. Human health and welfare were understood to depend on tapping into this wellspring of wisdom. On a planet that is everywhere alive, conscious and inspirited, humans were believed to have many wise allies for counsel and aid.

What is the relevance of this to our current concern about the fate of the Earth? If the ‘star billing’ given by us moderns to our species is unwarranted – if sapiens (wisdom) is not exclusive to homo (humanity) – then could it be that the fate of the Earth is not exclusively or even primarily in our hands? By our ancestors’ measure, we have grossly exaggerated our self-importance in the intricate web of life. Is it not conceivable that among our intelligent companions on this whirling voyage through space are some who may be capable of restoring the balance we humans have disturbed, of undoing the damage we have wrought? Possibly there are many more shoulders sharing this burden than we think.

Some of the strongest of those shoulders may be the smallest, as was demonstrated dramatically in the aftermath of the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil well explosion. As millions of barrels of oil poured unchecked into the ocean from the uncapped well, there was a scramble to devise human technologies that would mitigate an environmental disaster of colossal scope. It took months before the flow was stopped, but in the meantime it was discovered that petroleum-eating bacteria had flourished in the oil plume and contained a vast amount of it. The micro-organisms had not only multiplied at an astounding rate, they also had ramped up their own internal metabolism to digest the oil efficiently. They formed a natural clean-up crew capable of reducing the amount of oil in the undersea plume by half every three days.

We may take hope from the fact that this kind of help is available, but we must also start paying attention, as did our ancestors, to what our travelling companions have to say to us. Every ancient society developed communication with the natural world and with spirits, and they had specialists skilled in the techniques of that communication. These women and men were held in high regard, but they were approached with trepidation, because they were perceived to be communing with mysterious and awesome forces. In Old French they were called “sorcier,” those in touch with the “Source.” The Anglo-Saxons spoke of the “Ways of Wyrd” known to “wizards” and “witches.”

Shamanism is the term now applied to what has come to be recognised as a worldwide phenomenon, whose practice can be found as far back as we can go in human history. Given the association in the popular imagination of the term shamanism with ‘native, tribal’ cultures, it will come as a surprise to many to learn that their own ancestors practiced shamanism. We are all descendants of shamanic peoples.

Research over the past 150 years by scholars of comparative religion, pre-history and anthropology has revealed strikingly close similarities in the shamanic techniques employed in ancient cultures and in modern indigenous societies worldwide.(4) The word shaman is borrowed from one of those contemporary indigenous societies, the Tungus of Siberia. We are fortunate there are native shamans still at work, despite the sustained, and in many cases brutal, efforts of colonial governments, Christian churches, and medical authorities to suppress them. In the past forty years there has also been a Western revival of shamanic practice inspired by indigenous teachers and reinforced by the recognition that these ancient spiritual traditions are our shared inheritance.
The Role of Shamans

What do shamans do? They work to maintain or restore harmonious balance between humans and the rest of nature through powerful connections with spirit helpers. This requires a mastery of the techniques of journeying.

A shamanic journey is a trance state purposefully induced by a mind-altering activity such as rhythmic movement or repetitive sound, most often steady and sustained drumming. Less commonly, a psychotropic substance is ingested. In their altered state of consciousness, using disciplined techniques, individuals can experience visions of flying or entering into the Earth. On their journeys, participants ask animal or guardian spirits to appear and help in finding the answer to a question about their life or about someone else who has requested aid. Healing is the primary shamanic work. This includes healing of the Earth and its plants and animals. It also includes human healing, both the healing of dissension in groups and of physical and emotional illness in individuals. In the shamanic worldview, dis-ease is understood to result from loss of connection to the spirits of nature and consequent loss of soul – individual or collective.(6) Shamanic journeys take us to places where we can recover fragments of lost soul.

Journeying is useful for a wide range of practical purposes, and the experience can be powerful, often surprising the beginner with the cogency and helpfulness of what is revealed. Here is a personal example. Buying property is tricky at the best of times, but when you have been living in America for 30 years and would like to find a place in your home country, New Zealand, it’s a major challenge. That’s how it was for me in 1991, and I needed help. I received it from a guardian spirit, an eagle. In a shamanic journey, the eagle took me flying over the Marlborough Sounds and showed me a remote property in such detail that I was able to draw a sketch map: the position of the house in relation to two garden plots; the boat shed; the jetty; the shape of the bay. My wife Jo and I brought the map with us when we came to New Zealand three years later. We found a place listed at the first real estate office we visited, and when we were taken to the land, we knew within ten minutes it was the place to which my eagle had flown me. We had no need to look at other properties.

I have another story of shamanic success in real estate. I once participated with 30 others in a shamanic journey to look for a new campus for the California Institute of Integral Studies, the small San Francisco post-graduate school of which I was then president. Many participants found themselves led by their spirit guardians to one particular city neighbourhood. Three people in the journeying group described ornamentation on the outside of a building. One went down a chimney and saw a room with a polished wooden floor and an oriental rug. Another person reported a delicious aroma of baking. Most amusingly, some in the journeying group remarked on a pervasive smell of marijuana in the area. Little wonder. Three weeks later, we found an excellent property half a block from the corner of Haight and Ashbury Streets! As we were to discover, the nearest shop, just two hundred metres from our new campus, was a deli, whose baked goods would become favourites of students and faculty, and the journey details of the ornamentation on the building, the chimney, and the room with the polished wooden floor and oriental rug all proved equally accurate.

As this suggests, shamanism can be fun! Shamans are theatrical. In order to rivet the attention of participants, shamans typically wear dramatic costumes and display colourful talismans as they burn herbs and rhythmically whirl, stamp, clap and drum loudly. Almost all of the physical senses of the participants are engaged. As teachers, we should acknowledge shamans as exemplars of excellent educational practice. People learn most forcefully from forms that engage more than their intellects. They remember best what they do, rather than what they read or are told. Effective education must have a large experiential component, and shamanic practice can be a totally engaging experience.

Shamans may be playful, but they are not playing games. Their work has a serious purpose: the evocation of powerful spiritual forces. Shamanic practitioners, as a consequence, must assume responsibility for the welfare of the individuals and groups they guide. As with psychotherapy and similar practices that may bring to awareness deep subconscious memories arousing strong emotions, shamanism must be practiced with disciplined restraint and ethical integrity. Also, with humility. “In shamanism (as well as with other forms of healing) it is not the shaman who does the work,” shamanic counselor Sandra Ingerman observes. “Shamans are just the instruments through which the power of the universe works. Therefore, asking the spirits for help and trusting that they will be there is the basis of the shaman’s responsibilities. Remember, an instrument cannot play itself.”

Reconnecting With Nature

Effective education must have a large experiential component, I said. Given the current critical imbalance between humans and other species, nature should be a primary area of experiential education. We should balance the abstractions of our classrooms with experiences of the wholeness of living, growing wild things. Following the centuries-old practice of shamans, students and their teachers should spend time in wilderness to restore direct awareness of the intricate interconnections that sustain life. Quiet time spent away from the elaborate constructions of our cities can help us gain the stillness in which we may hear nature’s voices.

Shamanic journeying also can lead to an intimate acquaintance with Nature. In his book The Adventure of Self-Discovery, psychotherapist Stan Grof reports that in the journeys he and wife Christina direct,(8) many participants experience “complete and realistic identification” with animals and plants and are given extraordinary knowledge of organic processes. In this mode of consciousness, “it is possible to gain experiential insight into what it feels like when a cat is curious, an eagle frightened, a cobra hungry, a turtle sexually aroused, or when a shark is breathing through the gills.” This can lead to profound new understandings. “Subjects have reported that they witnessed botanical processes on the sub-cellular or molecular level” and had “experiences of plant consciousness.”

Grof commented that to speak of plant consciousness might seem “fantastic and absurd … to a traditional scientist.”(10) He was writing in the late 1980s when biology was dominated by molecular geneticists, who, at the time, were supremely confident that all biological function was programmed by DNA sequencing. In the subsequent 20 years, however, there has been a conceptual revolution in genetics and cell biology, with the recognition that cellular networks in organisms are dynamic systems responding intelligently to changing external conditions, even modifying the structure of DNA where necessary. In his 2005 book, The Biology of Belief, cell biologist Bruce Lipton writes:

… each cell is an intelligent being that can survive on its own. . . . These smart cells are imbued with intent and purpose; they actively seek environments that support their survival while simultaneously avoiding toxic or hostile ones. Like humans, single cells analyse thousands of stimuli from the microenvironment they inhabit. Through the analysis of this data, cells select appropriate behavioral responses to ensure their survival. Single cells are also capable of learning through these environmental experiences and are able to create cellular memories, which they pass on to their offspring.

On the basis of such path-breaking research, Fritjof Capra concludes: “The organising activity of living systems … is mental activity. . . . Mind … is immanent in matter at all levels of life.”

Shared Consciousness

We have already observed that this perception of universal consciousness is the crux of the shamanic worldview. By entering the eagle’s keen eye, the bear’s great strength, the herb’s healing power, or the flame’s searing heat, the shaman shows us passageways to the spirit wisdom of natural forms. Shamans are shape-shifters, teaching that the boundaries between forms are not as impermeable as they may seem. Dramatically, this ancient knowledge that “there is no wall between species,” rejected for three centuries by reductionist Cartesian science, has been rediscovered in this decade by molecular biologists. Lipton again:

Recent advances in genome science have revealed [that] living organisms … actually integrate their cellular communities by sharing their genes. It had been thought that genes are passed on only to progeny of an individual organism through reproduction. Now scientists realise that genes are shared not only among the individual members of a species, but also among members of different species. The sharing of genetic information via gene transfer speeds up evolution since organisms can acquire ‘learned’ experiences from other organisms. Given this sharing of genes, organisms can no longer be seen as disconnected entities; there is no wall between species.

“It seems that every process in the universe that one can observe objectively in the ordinary state of consciousness also has a subjective experiential counterpart” in altered states.(14) This observation by Stan Grof suggests an important reason for the inclusion of shamanic practice in the educational curriculum. Shamanism gives working access to an alternative technique of acquiring knowledge. Although a pragmatic, time-tested system, it makes no claim to be science. Its strengths and limitations are different from those of the sciences and thus complement them. Being affective and subjective, shamanism offers another way of knowing.

Science As A Construct

In this it serves as shock therapy for students who have grown up with the unexamined belief that modern science is the only true path to knowledge. They have been taught that the scientific method is of a different order from all other human systems of understanding. The claim is that science, and only science, provides a clear window on reality and has the ultimate capacity to answer every question about nature. These assertions are untenable. Modern Western civilisation’s representation of reality is limited like that of every other civilisation. The sciences are cultural constructions to help us get by in the world. “A scientific theory is just a mathematical model we make to describe our observations,” cautions Stephen Hawking. “It exists only in our minds.”(15) Science is a simplification of the universe, which in its unfathomable vastness is always threatening to overwhelm the limited capacity of the human organism to comprehend. “I suspect there could be life and intelligence out there in forms we can’t conceive,” observes Martin Rees, British Astronomer Royal. “It could be there are aspects of reality that are beyond the capacity of our brains.”

Nonetheless, science reigns supreme and blinds most of our students, like the vast majority of us, to the diverse and richly varied paths to knowledge offered by other civilisations, contemporary and historic. “Today, the doors of the faerie hills remain sealed against us, for we keep the eyes of our mythic consciousness shut equally tight, refusing to allow cracks to appear in the walls of our present, desacralised world-view.” The writer is Mara Freeman, whose field is Celtic and British folklore. “Few of us dare to open what W.B. Yeats called the ‘flaming door’ and explore the power that crackles on the thresholds of our reality structures. But to do so might send a revitalising current through the wasteland of our culture.” Traditionally, Freeman says, it was shamans who had the courage and skill to throw open the “flaming door.” “Those skilled in walking between the worlds knew how to harness the power of the threshold where the normal rules of time and space hang suspended.”

Shamans are edge-walkers and shape-shifters, who dispel the illusion that all is fixed and orderly and controllable.

A stone’s throw out on either hand From the well-ordered road we tread, And all the world is wild and strange; Churl and ghoul and Djinn and sprite Shall bear us company to-night, For we have reached the Oldest Land Wherein the powers of Darkness range. – Rudyard Kipling

Shamanism is an acknowledgment of the awesome spiritual powers that shape the universe. It is an acknowledgement that mystery will remain despite all our science and scholarship.

Let us encourage our students to delight in the permanence of the unknowable and to sit in reverence and awe before the majesty of the mysterious. Let us encourage them also to hear the message of the shamans that the moving force in the universe is spirit, which makes life possible and gives it meaning. The exhilarating news the shamans bring is that we are not alone. On a planet that is everywhere alive, conscious and inspirited, humans have many wise allies for counsel and aid. We should lay to rest our exaggerated fears that we do not have the resources to keep this show going. Equally, we must learn humility. The hubris of homo sapiens in claiming superiority over all other species has been the source of severe damage. Humanity is merely one spirit form among countless billions.

The smallest indivisible reality is, to my mind, intelligent and is waiting there to be used by human spirits if we reach out and call them in. We rush too much with nervous hands and worried minds. We are impatient for results. What we need … is reinforcement of the soul by the invisible power waiting to be used. . . . I know there are reservoirs of spiritual strength from which we human beings thoughtlessly cut ourselves off. — Henry Ford, Detroit News, 7 February 1926

'God' Particles from the Galactic Core

Is the Galactic Center in our Milky Way sending our beloved Earth the healing energies she requires to realign in harmony with Cosmic Law?

Chandra X-ray Observatory, Cambridge, Massachusetts and Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama report in Astronomy magazine that the center heart of our galaxy, known as Sagittarius A* has recently shown a ten-fold increase in its flaring:

A new study reveals that Sgr A* has been producing one bright X-ray flare about every 10 days.

However, within the past year, there has been a ten-fold increase in the rate of bright flares from Sgr A*, at about one every day. This increase happened soon after the close approach to Sgr A* by a mysterious object called G2.

What our eyes may perceive as empty sky space is more a crowded densely packed shooting gallery for trillions of highly charged energetic wave particles as rays - a pulsating ocean in the vastness of interplanetary space.

Some of us can 'see' these energies in the sky above us.

The emerging science of space physics reveals the ubiquitous complexities of Cosmic Rays, which are of two types:

-Galactic Cosmic Rays, GCRs high energy particles originating outside the solar system

-Solar Energetic Particles, SEPs emitted by the Sun

Galactic Cosmic Rays may originate within or outside the galaxy, thus the energies that come into our heliosphere are from our Sun, the Heart of the Milky Way and beyond.

There are highly complex interactions of particles in the intersteller medium of interplanetary space that travel from the Galactic Core, the Sun and planets to nourish our Earth.

Our Earth's magnetosphere needs these energies, a sort of metaphorical 'milk' from the various parts of the Milky Way to feed her magnetically, keep her vital and alive.

"The magnetospheric activity and dynamics require power that is extracted in the interaction between the magnetosphere and the solar wind."
Dynamic Magnetosphere

This 'milk' is comparable to semen for our planet, the electric universe twin polarities that enliven our heliosphere via the various Galactic Cosmic Rays, GCRs the high energy background population incident upon the heliosphere uniformly and isotropically - while in the inner heliosphere,

-Galactic cosmic radiation is modulated by solar activity

Universal Cosmic God-Laws

Any true science would reflect the Cosmic Laws that bring the universe into being - God-Laws.

There would naturally be a correlation between metaphysical laws that are the eternal substratum of the manifested universe and the physics of the external manifested realms. Any imbalance would inevitably demand a return to harmony.

Theoretically, if you know the basic God-Laws, then the various applications of other sciences will fit harmoniously into them. Knowing the one substratum leads you to understand them all, at least in principle.

The metaphysical principles that govern our own inner reality, the mechanics of enlightenment, our spirit or astral body with its seven chakras, the three gunas, the mysteries of five-sense perception, and our eternal interconnectedness to the All, will resonate in harmony with the physical sciences to the degree that these sciences express the Universal Cosmic order, the laws of God.

Any true real science must be founded upon and in complete harmony with primordial metaphysics.

Linear thinking is a limitation we need to leave for a more complete inclusive holistic thinking in harmony with Universal Cosmic God-Laws.

Infinitesimal Whirls in the Woven Universe

Bruce Cathie quotes the genius inventor Nicola Tesla from an unpublished article:

"Long ago he (man) recognized that all perceptible matter comes from a primary substance of a tenuity [a rarified state] beyond conception, filling all space, the Akasha or Luminiferous Ether, which is acted upon by the life giving prana or creative force, calling into existence, in never ending cycles, all things and phenomena.

The primary substance, thrown into Infinitesimal Whirls of prodigious velocity, becomes gross matter; the Force subsiding, the motion ceases and matter disappears, reverting to the primary substance."

This statement from Tesla sounds as if it has been taken verbatim from a Sanskrit text!

Cathie himself says,

"Matter is nothing more than a complex matrix of wave-forms locked together by harmonic resonance."

Rene Guenon has written extensively about the disconnect in modern times between the primordial metaphysical principles and what he terms the profane sciences:

"…most of these sciences, even insofar as they still correspond to some reality, represent no more than simple debased residues of some of the ancient traditional sciences."

Guenon explains that numbers have lost their real meaning.

He states that our contemporaries are ignorant of what number truly is and understand number only its strictly quantitative sense, reducing number to,

"calculation in the narrowest sense of the word, that is, to a mere collection of more or less artificial procedures, which are in short only valuable with respect to practical applications to which they give rise."

According to Guenon, only geometric form can be legitimately considered to constitute the true body of a number.

This is in,

"accordance with the fact that all 'embodiment' necessarily implies a 'spatialization'."

The science that is exclusively quantitative distances itself further and further from reality.

The Inter-Connected Substratum

The Universal Cosmic God-Laws are the substratum of the manifested realms.

In other words, the appearance of the solidity of material forms in varying densities rests upon a metaphysics that reflect the eternal harmonics found in primordial God-Laws. This explains why so many theoretical sciences can be seen in the Rig Veda, and also why there are so many varying translations.

In my rendering of the Rig Veda, I am able to discern the mechanics of electricity, electromagnetism, plasma physics, and magnetic fusion technology - right along with the inner enlightening esoteric ancient Wisdom-Knowledge in these ancient hymns because of eternal harmonic resonant correspondences between the inner 'invisible to the five senses' realms and external apparent manifestations.

Fierce Winds coming from the Heart of our Galaxy

Sagittarius A* is a very compact, highly luminous unresolved radio source that lies at the exact center of our Milky Way Galaxy.

"Astronomers are convinced that Sagittarius A* is a single body. It is estimated to be about a million times as massive as the Sun, making it the most massive celestial object in the Galaxy.

A fierce wind of cosmic ray electrons and protons is said to generated by a relatively small region in Sagittarius A*.

These winds are rushing outward at speeds close to the speed of light and their "particles emit electromagnetic radiation ranging from low frequency radio emission to high energy gamma ray emission."
Dr. Paul LaViolette

LaViolette questions the theory of a black hole being at the center of our galaxy and reports that,

"all evidence to date suggests that gas is not being drawn toward the Galactic center but is being pushed away, outward."

He says that the ancients did not see the Heart of our galaxy as a region of annihilation, but,

"as one of matter and energy creation, a cosmic wellspring giving birth to all the matter in the Galaxy."

The World is Spirit Clothed in Sound

The Rishi Dîrghatamas tells us something very similar in the ancient Sanskrit text the Rig Veda:

Rig Veda I.164.28
Rishi Dîrghatamas: Prevailing over everything, plasma clouds are, although silent to our human ears, violent roaring shriek sound - sound that permeates the offspring, the forms created in the heliosphere and beyond. He compares the electric universe mechanism to the blinking of the eyes, an on-off switch.

Rig Veda I.164.29
The stars in the Milky Way, by this silent sound moving, it thundering scattered cries, softly regulated responding sound, that is covered over; resting above it, falling to dust, sprinkles below indeed making mortal man who must die, shine forth with reflection, consciously, becoming, toward a concealed place, the covered sound beaten, revealed.

The Sanskrit word Savitâ expresses the continual expansion of Galactic Cosmic Rays that are generated within the center of every galaxy, every galactic core.

These rays carry God-Consciousness, the encoded universal laws,

Rta

Satya

Dharma,

...that are the substratum of all manifestation.

Rishi Dîrghatamas is invoking these energetic particles, which yield easily everything necessary for splendid life on any planet, from healing bodily forms and plant life, to an expanded consciousness, enlightenment and Oneness with the Creator, to free energy such as electricity and advanced technologies.

For those who have the ears to hear…

Silent sound wave-particle emissions from the Galactic Heart Core are filled with God-Consciousness.

Potencies of milky-virile-semen as Wisdom-Knowledge, the silent particles of sound are perpetually, continually in an everlasting timeless eternity sprayed forth, in violence, forced outward in profusions shining glittering, sprinklings of wave particles throughout the galaxies into our heliosphere.

Those who within the concealed place in the Heart hear the sound, the silent sound revealed - they Become. The Galactic Cosmic Rays are eternally offering us universal God-Consciousness.

Let us be ready!
