Physicist Brian Greene hosts this 4-part documentary on the NOVA series on America's PBS (public television) network, based on his best-selling novel of the same title: The Fabric of The Cosmos.

In this series, Greene's goal is to explain and demonstrate the basic physical structure of the universe itself. While his previous documentary, The Elegant Universe, focused on the stuff that fills the universe, this 2011 documentary instead focuses on the universe itself, the stage upon which everything exists.

The high points of this series are the great multimedia examples, showing an approximate example of how space and time itself changes according to the laws of physics.

Episode 1: What Is Space?

In the first episode of the series, Greene tackles the daunting task of explaining the empty space that makes up most of our universe.

This quickly brings him right up against the theory of general relativity developed by Albert Einstein. Under this theory, space is intricately linked to time in a unified property of the universe called spacetime.

Ranging from the big bang all the way to the recently-observed phenomenon of dark energy and how space itself might fall apart within a black hole.

He concludes this bizarre explanation with a discussion of the holographic principle, which may imply that our entire universe is merely an illusion created on the boundary of some sort of massive two-dimensional surface.

Episode 2: The Illusion of Time

In this second episode, Greene turns his attention to the other half of spacetime... the time aspect.

Greene explores the science that ultimately lead us to the question: "Does time exist?" For example, why do we experience an arrow of time - an irreversible direction to time - when space doesn't seem to have this sort of direction.

He goes further, discussing the prospect of potentially scientifically-allowable theories of time travel.

Episode 3: Quantum Leap

In the third episode of the series, Greene moves from the realm of space and time on to the stuff that exists within it to explore the amazing mysteries that quantum physics tell us about the way our world works.

In quantum physics, objects don't like to exist in a single time and place, but seem to exist as probabilities.

From the strange wave particle duality exhibited by the double-slit experiment (demonstrated wonderfully with a digitally-enhanced bowling alley sequence) to the bizarre science behind quantum computers, Greene and other physicists explore the impact of quantum physics on our understanding of the universe.

Episode 4: Universe or Multiverse?

In the concluding episode of the documentary, Brian Greene moves beyond our own universe to explore the idea that we might actually be part of a vast multiverse containing many different types of parallel universes, including some that might even operate under different fundamental laws of physics.

Why multiple universes? How could anyone believe such crazy theories?

Though we haven't actually gotten any experimental evidence to prove their existence - and we probably won't ever be able to - there are several theoretical reasons for believing that they may exist.

Greene explains the scientific reasoning behind why scientists propose the various types of parallel universes that have come out of scientific research.

Declassified documents ‘FOREIGN RELATIONS OF THE UNITED STATES, 1969–1976, VOLUME E–7, DOCUMENTS ON SOUTH ASIA, 1969–1972‘ contain a wealth of information on what the then American President Richard Nixon and his assistant for NSA Henry Kissinger thought of India, and provide a fascinating insight into how the duo sought to play the Russians and the Chinese in those crucial days of 1971.

Nixon: A mass famine. But they aren’t going to get that. We’re going to feed them—a new kind of wheat. But if they’re not going to have a famine the last thing they need is another war. Let the goddamn Indians fight a war [unclear].

Kissinger: They are the most aggressive goddamn people around there.

Kissinger: Yeah.

Nixon: Sure.

After becoming Prime Minister, Gandhi expressed the intention of nationalising the banks in a paper titled, “Stray thoughts on Bank Nationalisation” in order to alleviate poverty. The paper received the overwhelming support of the public. In 1969, Gandhi moved to nationalise fourteen major commercial banks. After the nationalisation of banks, the branches of the public sector banks in India rose to approximate 800 percent in deposits, and advances took a huge jump by 11,000 percent. The nationalization drive not only helped to increase household savings, but it also provided considerable investments in the informal sector, in small and medium-sized enterprises, and in agriculture, and contributed significantly to regional development and to the expansion of India’s industrial and agricultural base.

Having been re-elected in 1971 on a nationalisation platform, Gandhi proceeded to nationalise the coal, steel, copper, refining, cotton textiles, and insurance industries. Most of these nationalisations were made to protect employment and the interest of the organised labour. The remaining private sector industries were placed under strict regulatory control.

In 1971, Indira Gandhi intervened in the Pakistani Civil War in support of East Pakistan. India emerged victorious in the resulting conflict. India had signed a treaty with the Soviet Union promising mutual assistance in the case of war, while Pakistan received active support from the United States during the conflict. U.S. President Richard Nixon disliked Gandhi personally, referring to her as a “witch” and “clever fox” in his private communication with Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Nixon later wrote of the war: “[Gandhi] suckered [America]. Suckered us…..this woman suckered us.”

The reason for their dislike of Indira Gandhi was because during the 1971 war, foreign-owned (Anglo American) private oil companies had refused to supply fuel to the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. In response, Indira Gandhi nationalised oil companies in 1973. After nationalisation the oil majors such as the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) and the Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) had to keep a minimum stock level of oil, to be supplied to the military when needed.

The Moles of Kissinger

Indira Gandhi sensed a parallel in the activities of her Indian political nemesis Morarji Desai and Jayewardene. Later it turned out, that Morarji Desai had received payments from CIA, while he served as a deputy prime minister under Indira Gandhi. “In his 1983 book, ”The Price of Power: Kissinger in the Nixon White House,” Mr. Hersh wrote that Mr. Desai, India’s Prime Minister from 1977 to 1979, received $20,000 a year from the C.I.A. during the Johnson and Nixon administrations in exchange for information on Indian foreign policy and domestic politics. Mr. Hersh based his claim on information supplied by six confidential sources.”

In his book, Hersh, a Pulitzer-prize winner and former New York Times reporter, wrote that Desai first began taking money during the Johnson years and continued receiving payments through the Nixon era.

In exchange, Hersh wrote, Desai informed the CIA in 1971 that India was preparing to invade Pakistan, and about then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi`s efforts to seek closer relations with the Soviet Union.

In his book, The Price of Power: Kissinger and Nixon in the White Housedefendant Seymour Hersh examines how former National Security Advisor, Henry Kissinger conducted U.S. foreign policy during President Richard Nixon’s first term. Included in Hersh’s commentary is a chapter reviewing the U.S. foreign policy decisions concerning the 1971 India-Pakistan War, a crisis in which the United States adopted a controversial, hard-line policy against India and in favor of West Pakistan. According to Hersh, President Nixon and Dr. Kissinger justified this policy based largely on information received from a “reliable source” reporting from India through the Central Intelligence Agency. The identity of the source who furnished this information was never revealed by the National Security Council or the CIA.

During his testimony at trial, Hersh explained that he relied on six separate confidential sources to support his assertion that Desai was a CIA informant. Hersh testified that of the six sources, “two were out of government, one was in the CIA, one was in the world of the NSA, National Security Agency, which is the communications intelligence people, and two were working in the White House.” Two of these sources he characterized as “active sources” who “were telling me details, a lot of detail.” And, at one point during his direct testimony, Hersh stated that “I thought the most important thing was to know that the sources upon which I was relying were sources that I had the utmost confidence in, and that was the driving force of what I wrote.”

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger testified Monday in the federal libel suit of author Seymour Hersh that he doubted that former Indian Prime Minister Morarji Desai worked as a $20,000-a-year spy for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Kissinger was subpoenaed to testify by Desai`s attorneys last week in hopes of bolstering their contention that Desai was libeled by Hersh in his 1983 book, “The Price of Power: Henry Kissinger in the Nixon White House.“

Hersh wrote that Desai was a paid informant for the CIA and a valuable asset to the U.S. government during the Johnson and Nixon administrations.

Before a packed courtroom in front of U.S. District Judge Charles Norgle, Kissinger was asked by one of Desai`s attorneys, Cyriac Kappil, if he knew the names of CIA spy sources.

“No, I would not know the names of any sources,“ Kissinger replied.

“We did not want to be briefed as to names.“

Kissinger, national security adviser under President Richard Nixon and secretary of state under President Gerald Ford, said that although the sources were not named, some were categorized as “sensitive“ on the intelligence reports to show if their discovery would “provide embarrassment to the United States.“

Asked to describe the categories, Kissinger responded, “I think that would get me into classified areas.“

Asked by Kappil if information coming from Desai, a member of the Indian Parliament in 1971, would be considered “sensitive,“ Kissinger responded,

“I would have expected that, yes.“

In the book, Hersh wrote that Desai was considered by President Lyndon Johnson`s administration to have been a “star performer“ for the CIA. Asked if he thought that was true, Kissinger said, “I was not aware of that.“

“Do you have any reason to believe that Desai was paid by the CIA from 1969 to 1971?“ Kappil asked.

“I have no such reason to believe that,“ Kissinger answered.

Under cross-examination by one of Hersh`s attorneys, Bernard Nussbaum, Kissinger was pressed for details about the CIA sources. He was asked if the Nixon administration believed it had access to what Mrs. Gandhi was saying at Cabinet meetings.

“We believe we had access to Prime Minister Gandhi`s opinions from various sources,“ Kissinger replied. “I don`t want to get into sources.“

Nevermind Kissinger, his sources were recently revealed through diplomatic and intelligence records released by Wikileaks special project.

The Kissinger Cables

The Kissinger Cables comprise more than 1.7 million US diplomatic records for the period 1973 to 1976, including 205,901 records relating to former US Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger. Dating from January 1, 1973 to December 31, 1976 they cover a variety of diplomatic traffic including cables, intelligence reports and congressional correspondence. They include more than 1.3 million full diplomatic cables and 320,000 originally classified records. These include more than 227,000 cables classified as “CONFIDENTIAL” and 61,000 cables classified as “SECRET”. Perhaps more importantly, there are more than 12,000 documents with the sensitive handling restriction “NODIS” or ‘no distribution’, and more than 9,000 labelled “Eyes Only”.

At around 700 million words, the Kissinger Cables collection is approximately five times the size of WikiLeaks’ Cablegate. The raw PDF data is more than 380 Gigabytes in size and is the largest WikiLeaks publication to date.

Subramaniyan Swamy

In a recent revelation, WikiLeaks has released cables containing information about how the United States managed to scoop details about late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s election strategies and health details during the Emergency in 1977 from Subramanian Swamy.

The cables also gives details about how Swamy acted as the Indian source of information for US officials.

The report states that Indira Gandhi was ‘indisposed’ and wanted to set March as the election date to square things in her favour in light of her alleged bad health (according to the report, she was suffering from terminal cancer).

Several reports suggesting the prime minister may be in ill health have come to the department’s attention in recent days. It has been reported Jagjivan Ram wished her speedy recovery in his letter of resignation. An AFP report from Delhi February 2 cites an informed Indian source to effect she is in poor health. However those close to her are also reported by AFP as explaining that she is slightly indisposed. A further report from Delhi indicates she looked tired and drawn in responding to Jagjivan Ram’s announcement. Subramanian Swamy suggested to department officer ten days ago that he heard Mrs. Gandhi was prompted to set the March election date because she wanted to square things away in view of her failing health. Newsweek has a story she has terminal cancer and the surprise election call was a way to assure the quick succession of Sanjay in the next 60-90 days.

Complicity in Rajiv Gandhi Assassination

It should also be noted that the Jain Commission Report included startling depositions and intelligence intercepts that indicate that Dr Subramanian Swamy and former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar, had prior knowledge of a threat to Rajiv but did not react in a “timely manner”. Even the files containing intercepted messages from foreign intelligence agencies, said to be addressed to Chandraswami and Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy, were destroyed by senior officials in the PMO. Intelligence sources say one file contained intercepted messages as well as details of the movements of Subramanian Swamy and Chandraswami on assassination day.

However there were others also who had sought allegiance with CIA.
 

George Fernandes

In a sensational revelation, the WikiLeaks have alleged that firebrand socialist leader George Fernandes had sought funds from the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to overthrow Indira Gandhi’s government in the 1970s.

According to the cables, at the height of Emergency, the trade union leader sought funding from CIA and the French government to sustain his anti-government activities.

The US cables said Fernandes, made this request for funding during a meeting with the French Labour Attaché Manfred Turlach on or around November 1, 1975.

He asked Turlach for help from the French government. When this was refused, he asked Turlach if he could suggest CIA contacts, the WikiLeaks said.

During the meeting, Fernandes claimed there were 300 people with him engaged in sabotage activities and that they had “already blown up two railway bridges in the south and a bridge between Bombay and Pune”.

India – A Spies Paradise

David Alan Hume was a veteran British Spy Chief in India who studied intelligence reports of past 35 years literally 35000 documents filed by British officers all across India, Indian social settings, castes hierarchies and their abilities to fight their interrelationships. His recommendation was there should be an Indian intermediate agency (agencies) that can claim superior to all other Indians and handle the anger of Indian masses of BOTI. He recommended these agencies be filled with absolutely loyal English educated anglophile Indians who must be monitored by seasoned British intelligence officers (both British and Indian origin specially trained for this purpose) for not wavering from their goal.

Even if they waver these embedded spies will discredit them. The sole purpose of these agencies is to divert the attention and anger of population of Occupied Territories towards diversionary fratricidal ideologies promoted by the organizations set up by the chosen men of British Intelligence.

For this a careful selection and nurturing of candidates from young age was necessary. British used the schools set up for this purpose. First they erased the memory of cultural history of the young boys. Then they indoctrinated them that British and European systems were superior. Later they were instructed to save the heathen or the poor Indians suffering from the lack of enlightenment.

India & the Grand Blueprint for CIA’s Resurrection 

The CIA is expanding its operations in India. The CIA is sending Indian-origin and south Asian-origin officers to India so that they can merge better.

The basic approach [of the CIA] will be to befriend senior bureaucrats, senior military officials, politicians to find what our intentions are and what we are planning to do.

The spooks in the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, are tracking virtually everything from Parliament proceedings to political parties to arms deals to internal security issues.

CIA’s best men are secretly travelling through different states and are setting up networks to watch political developments and separatist movements. These networks will seek information about India’s nuclear arsenal and military modernisation. They will also keep their eyes peeled for terrorists who might prove dangerous to the US. Based on all this information, Langley will predict India’s strategy viz-a-viz Pakistan and China.

This process culminated by 1890 in creation of three organizations and dozens of movements. Indian National Congress directly under David Alan Hume, Hind MahaSabha, Indian Muslim League. Many movements like Brahmosamaj, AryaSamaj, Theosophical Society etc are also offshoot of this strategy. For most of these leaders it was a time pass in spare time to discuss about the plight of fellow Indians about whom they never know and find solutions with the British leaders in summer and Christmas parties. The intellectual void this generation experienced under British education made them neither to live with their own brothers Indians whom they thought inferior not let them live with British whom they held superior. This is the lost generation of India from 1890–1950 and unfortunately they led our fates for next six decades.

The Central Cause of Conflict

Do not think by merely wishing for peace, you will have peace, when in your daily life of relationship you are aggressive, acquisitive, seeking psychological security here or in the hereafter. You have to understand the central cause of conflict and sorrow and then dissolve it and not merely look to the outside for peace. But you see, most of us are indolent. We are too lazy to take hold of ourselves and understand ourselves, and being lazy, which is really a form of conceit, we think others will solve this problem for us and give us peace, or that we should destroy the apparently few people that are causing wars. When the individual is in conflict within himself he must inevitably create conflict without, and only he can bring about peace within himself and so in the world, for he is the world.

So Where Are We Now?

 It only gets weirder by the day.

As the engineered Ebola scare rolls out and ISIS supposedly closes in, the US and NATO are slipping into Syria as if no one is looking. Meanwhile, insane Israel is openly planning another Gaza massacre while the Ukrainian genocide continues. 

If that's not enough, the economy is on the verge of collapsing, our food, air and water continue to be poisoned, our oceans and atmosphere are dying, communities are being fracked, and Fukushima continues to erupt while the massive Yellowstone caldera threatens to.

Talk about engineered overload!

Most people's heads are spinning wildly and they're trying to not think about this assault on their minds, hearts and senses. This is just the environment the manipulators want - an overloaded, stunned and compliant populace, ready to be swayed like limp seaweed in the tide of their polluted propaganda.

This is a very important time to be aware consciously and not engage this news and information without remaining as aware and emotionally detached as possible. Keep an eye on things but do not partake of the poison between the lines.

It is usually easily identifiable for the awakened but when there's an avalanche of wave after wave of sensational events and news we can lose perspective and unwittingly fall prey to their toxic designs and intentions.

Ebola Conditioning and the Knee-jerk Effect

Whether Ebola is real or not doesn't really matter.

As in all false flags and engineered events, there's going to be some sort of seemingly credible evidence from which they base their next wave of assault.

After that all you need is "reported" cases or "potential" threats. And so it rolls out. The main thing is to not get sucked into the react mode. The media of all types immediately jumped into the reactive cycle when this news first broke, with the intended purpose of shock and fear.

We have to shake that mindset rigorously in order to be able to see clearly. It's just another problem, reaction solution scenario using the programmed "deadly pandemic" excuse.

But just watch what they do. If you thought the bogus shoe and underpants bombers were effective in changing security procedures worldwide, you have not seen nothing yet.

Already Connecticut has gone into a civil lockdown without even a single case being reported there. It may appear to be just precautionary measures, but apparently the mental metal of the public has been deemed soft and malleable enough to go ahead and get the ball rolling in the compliant Sandy Hooked state.

Now airport workers are striking and leaving their jobs not wanting to sanitize planes or check incoming passengers.

The wheels are in motion.

Ebola bin Laden

Ebola has been rolled out exactly the same way the previous bogeyman was.

Bin Laden was reportedly behind carefully staggered embassy bombings and military attacks throughout the 90's and conveniently propped up as the boogeyman who would eventually take the fall for the staged 9/11 attacks.

The idea has to be planted in minds ahead of time, so measured Ebola outbreaks in unconnected parts of Africa have been in the news for decades now and arose at almost the same time and frequency as the reported bin Laden attacks. Images of this deadly dreaded Ebola idea were flashed with careful timing, scaring the crap out of people, but kept at a convenient distance while the inoculation of lies took effect conditioning the mental immune system.

Meanwhile, CIA and Zionist controlled Hollywood has been doing the background work reinforcing this meme with movies like Outbreak, I Am Legend and most recently World War Z. All conditioning.

And what else has come along in the meantime? The zombie craze, with police actually using this theme for security drills.

Just a coincidence? Never.

Depopulation - It's Under Our Noses

Almost ironically, and especially in the light of a potential pandemic, many are waiting for some kind of mass extermination event to fulfill the Georgia Guidestones and other elitist declarations to drastically reduce the world's "cumbersome" population.

The fact is it's already happening, you just don't see it because it's on a different long term timeline and mostly being accomplished by carefully planned sterilization. It's fully under way, slow and sure, right under humanity's nose.

Much of the entertainment, political, corporate and scare industry's focus is to keep humanity's minds preoccupied and on the defensive so they won't see or be able to react to what's being done to them on a daily basis.

Children and adults are being sterilized by,

• EMFs
• vaccines
• GMOs
• radiation
• adulterated water
• foods
• pharmaceuticals etc.,

...while the population is quietly being replaced by robotics, to name a few mechanisms at play. This doesn't even take into account the engineered proliferation of cancer and a host of other diseases promoted by corporate and governmental plans.

They even publicly state they have a target date of 2050 for this overall plan to be fully in place.

In 36 years at the rate we're being poisoned, unless this gets turned around, there won't be many able to survive, never mind reproduce, pandemic or not. The point is, now is the time to clearly identify what's actually going on and act accordingly.

I wrote about the nature of their long term plan in The Serpentine Stealth of the Long Range Planners and it's as true today as ever.

People need to wake up in more realistic ways - not just intellectually, but practically, as they continue their fight for truth and awareness. The mesmerization is very deep and delays resultant action and true conscious awareness.

There is no future plan - drastically reducing the world's population is an ongoing program taking place while the world is deceived, sidetracked and entertained by fabricated illusory animated scripts playing before their eyes.

Light at the End of the Tornado

I know this may seem dark, but it's realistic.

 

The vast majority of Americans and many in the west live on the defensive, reacting to anything issued by the usurping governmental powers that be.

 

Ultimately Truth will win out, but when a tornado, from whatever origin, is bearing down on your home it's not a time to argue with the source or the reasoning behind it. It's too late for that. And for America it's been too late for decades.

 

Not only is the sleeping giant virtually dead, but karma has a way of coming around to collect her bills.

 

Americans have by their silence and energetic and financial support been complicit in the genocide of millions around the globe for decades, as well as the rape of the planet's resources.

What goes around…

We've seen all of their various potential scenarios detailed for years in the alternative media.

 

There's no doubt about what they are up to, their plans and intentions, and the various methods at play in the ongoing subjugation of humanity. People are waking up rapidly and that's wonderful, but we're about to pass through a phase that needs to be addressed rationally and consciously.

Not everyone can move to higher ground or escape the north, I understand that.

 

Just beware the defensive mindset and go about what needs to be done in peace and confidence. It works against you if your preparations and ongoing activities aren't done fully consciously.

 

But at the same time, to sit and point at an oncoming tornado as if understanding its origins and intricacies will dispel it is utter insanity. It's time for preemptive action, both in activism and personal preparation.

That's the loving thing to do for yourself, your loved ones and your planet. That's how I see it.

 

The storm clouds and accompanying turbulent winds are here and picking up quickly and it's not about to get better anytime soon; they have much too much at stake and in motion.

 

They are psychopaths whose bottom line is the famous Samson option - "If we can't have it, nobody can" - and they'll gladly bring the house down around everyone's ears if the situation warrants.

We don't need to dwell on these ugly realities but to ignore them is tantamount to outright denial. It's a difficult time and place to be in many ways, but we have chosen to be here and we should handle the challenge courageously.

 

Personally, I wouldn't have missed being here for these unfolding events for anything!

 

The awakening has power they know not of and I can hardly wait to see how it manifests, in whatever form! We each just need to do our part, that's the crux of the matter.

Stay happy and and be well. All is within the Cosmic design. It's ours to manifest the Divine intention and so bring real "order" out of their corrupt, engineered chaos.

Proof That Consciousness Creates Reality

October 14, 2014 - Does consciousness create the material world? Before we answer this question, it’s important to first go into what the material world is actually composed of at a fundamental level. “Reality” is not simply made of tiny physical pieces, like a bunch of marbles or tiny little bowling balls. Molecules are made out of atoms, and atoms are made out of subatomic particles such as protons and electrons which are 99.99999% empty space and electrical spin. These are then made out of quarks, which then are a part of a Superstring field which consists of vibrating strings that give rise to fundamental particles based on the nature of their vibration.

We interact with a world of physical objects, but this is only due to the way our brains translate sensory data. At the smallest and most fundamental scales of nature, the idea of “physical reality” is non-existent. From the Nobel Prize winning father of quantum mechanics Neils Bohr, “Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real. In quantum mechanics hasn’t profoundly shocked you yet, you don’t understand it well enough.” When you touch your hands together, it is really just empty space touching more empty space, with the slightest ingredient of energetic spin of these minuscule particles. The constituents of matter have absolutely no physical structure.

This is important to understand, because if we think of the world of quantum physics as being a world of bowling balls and and marbles, then the idea of consciousness creating reality doesn’t really make sense. But understanding that reality is a cosmic concoction of non-localized energy and empty space, it becomes clear that our thoughts and the signals they register in the brain also have these same properties at their smallest level. Our thoughts are also an activity of the universe, and all activities take place within the same quantum realm prior to manifesting in physical reality.

Consciousness is one of the hard problems in science. There is no way to explain how something as material as chemical and physical processes can give rise to something as immaterial as experience. There is no reason why subjective experience exists at all, or how sentience evolved. Nature would operate just as well without subjectivity, and when we actually try to scientifically investigate the origin and physics of consciousness, we get hints that maybe consciousness and reality are not as separate as material science would have us think.

A quantum object (such as an electron) can be at more than one place at the same time. It can be measured as a wave smeared out in space, and can be located at several different points across this wave. This is called the wave property.

A quantum object ceases to exist here and simultaneously appears in existence over there without have EVER traveled the intervening space. This is known as the quantum jump. It essentially teleports.

A manifestation of one quantum object, cause by our observations, simultaneously influences its correlated twin object, no matter how far apart they are. Fire an electron and a proton off of an atom. Whatever happens to the electron, the exact same or exact opposite will happen to the proton. This is called quantum-action-at-a-distance. Einstein called this “spooky” action at a distance.

A quantum object cannot be said to manifest in ordinary space-time reality until we observe it as a particle. The quantum object exists indefinitely as a non-local wave until it is being observed directly. Consciousness literally collapses the wave-function of a particle.

This last point is interesting, because it implies that without a conscious observer present to collapse this wave, it would remain physically un-manifested in a state of potentiality . Observation not only disturbs what has to be measured, it produces the effect. This was verified in what is known as the double-slit experiment, where the presence of a conscious observer changed the behaviour of an electron from a wave state to a particle state. This is known as the “observer effect” and completely shakes what we assume to be true about the physical world.

The findings of this experiment were published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature, in which the scientists summarized saying “The introduction of a which- path (welcher Weg) detector for determining the actual path taken by the particle inevitably involved coupling the particle to a measuring environment, which in turn results in dephasing (suppression of interference).” That’s quite a mouthful, but it basically means that the measurement system used to detect the activity of the particle effected the behaviour of that particle.

As scientist Dr. Dean Radin said in a paper replicating the double-slit experiment, “We compel the electron to assume a definite position. We ourselves produce the results of the measurement.” Now, a common response to this is “It’s not us who is measuring the electron, it’s the machine that is doing the observation”. A machine is simply an extension of our consciousness. This is like saying “It’s not me who is observing the boat way across the lake, it is the binoculars”. The machine does not itself observe anything any more than a computer that interprets sound waves can “listen” to a song.

This has led some scientists to speculate that without consciousness, the universe would exist indeterminately as a sea of quantum potentiality. In other words, physical reality cannot first exist without subjectivity. Without consciousness, there is no physical matter. This is known as the Participatory Anthropic Principle, and was first proposed by physicist Dr. John Wheeler. Essentially, any possible universe that we can imagine that does not have conscious observers in it can be ruled out immediately. Consciousness is therefore the ground of being and must have existed prior to the physical universe. Consciousness literally creates the physical world.



These findings provide huge implications regarding how we can understand our interconnectedness with the external world. “We create our reality” is used to refer to the fact that our thoughts create the perspective we have of the world, but we now have a more concrete and literal understanding of this phrase. We actually give rise to the physical universe with our subjectivity.
